Apple recently announced that they will be adding several new emojis in the iOS 16.4 update. Typically, Apple takes a few months to add new emojis as the company’s designers need to create icons based on information provided by the Unicode Consortium. These new emoji options were first proposed in July 2022 and were then released in a new Unicode standard in September 2022.
New Emojis Coming Soon in iOS 16.4 Update
The new emoji characters are already available in the beta versions of iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, watchOS 9.4, and macOS Ventura 13.3, which can be downloaded by interested developers. Apple is likely to provide a public beta version soon, but it may take a few weeks before the software update is officially available.
Emojis are digital symbols used to express emotions or ideas visually. The use of emojis is becoming increasingly popular in everyday communication, including text messages, emails, and social media.
The addition of new emojis shows that emojis are still an important part of how we communicate digitally. The presence of new emojis will enhance the communication abilities of Apple users through messaging and text.
