List of Redmi Devices Getting MIUI 14 Xiaomi

Redmi MIUI 14

Xiaomi has recently launched the latest version of their operating system, MIUI 14, which is now being rolled out to users worldwide including Redmi devices. Based on Android 12 and Android 13, this new update promises many new features and improvements, and a better user experience than its predecessors.

One of the recent announcements made by Xiaomi is about the release of the MIUI 14 update for the Redmi Note 9S model.

The company stated that the global ROM version of the Redmi Note 9S will soon receive this update, which will bring the latest February 2023 security patch with build number V14.0.1.0.SJWMIXM. In addition, this update will also enhance the device’s system security.

Although the official release date for the update has not been announced, it is expected to be available for users in mid-March. The update will initially be released for Mi Pilot users and then for general users if no issues arise.

What new features on MIUI 14?

One of the most significant changes is the ability to uninstall most of the pre-installed basic applications on the device that could not be removed due to system limitations. Xiaomi also claims that the power consumption of third-party applications will decrease by 22% with the help of photon engine technology.

This technology helps optimize application performance, especially for multiplayer games. Xiaomi also claims that the new system’s performance has significantly improved. With Android 13 and MIUI 14, system smoothness has increased by 88%, while power consumption has increased by 16%.

The company has achieved this improvement by redesigning and developing the MIUI interface to be faster, more stable, and take up less space. However, it should be noted that only models with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8 Gen 1+, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors are optimized for these innovations.

Overall, the MIUI 14 update promises many new features and improvements that will enhance the user experience for Xiaomi users worldwide. With improved system performance, lower power consumption, and the ability to uninstall pre-installed apps, this new update is expected to be well-received by Xiaomi users.

While we await the official release of the update, we can only hope that it will fulfil its promises and be launched without significant issues.
