Valorant, the popular FPS game, has been introducing new characters to update the game’s meta and make it more unique. The latest character to be released is Gekko, an Initiator agent from the United States with the code name 22. For Valorant fans curious about Gekko abilities, here is a breakdown of the new agent’s skills.
Gekko has a very unique ability as he has four super pets that help him with his unique powers. Additionally, almost all of Gekko’s abilities can be reused if he retrieves the orb that he throws while using his ability. Here is a rundown of Gekko’s abilities:
Gekko Abilities Explanation:
First up is Dizzy, a pet that looks like a turtle and functions to obstruct the enemy’s view (flash).
Next up, there’s Wingman, which can chase down enemies and stun them. Additionally, Wingman can plant and defuse the spike.
Gekko’s third skill is Mosh, which can create a green puddle that explodes in the area. Unfortunately, Mosh does not turn into an orb, so it cannot be reused in the same round.
Lastly, Gekko’s ultimate, Thrash, can be controlled like Skye’s wolf and will make enemies around the blast walk slower.
Is Gekko Overpowered?
Despite having unique and confusing abilities, is Gekko overpowered? The answer is no. Although Gekko has unique and powerful abilities, he can still be easily defeated if played with the right strategy. In Valorant, there is no character that is truly “broken” because each character has its weaknesses and strengths. What matters most is how players can utilize their character’s strengths and overcome their weaknesses to win the game.
With that said, the new character Gekko offers something unique and interesting to Valorant fans. This character shows that Valorant is always ready to update their game and provide more exciting and challenging gameplay experiences.
So, are you ready to play Gekko and try out his unique abilities in Valorant? Have fun playing!
