Samsung Finally Adapts 65W Fast Charging, In 2019, Samsung made waves with the release of the Galaxy Note10+, featuring support for 45W wired charging. However, Samsung’s progress in charging technology has been relatively stagnant since then, with 45W remaining a rarity in their lineup.

But that is about to change with the introduction of stacked battery technology, borrowed from electric vehicles (EVs), which is set to revolutionize Samsung’s charging capabilities.

This stacked battery technology is expected to debut in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and possibly the S24+ as well, depending on the supply chain. Currently, Samsung is conducting tests using batteries manufactured in China, as the Cheonan plant is awaiting the arrival of manufacturing equipment.

The S24 Ultra is rumored to support up to 65W charging (an increase from the 45W in the 2023 model). Both the S24 Ultra and S24+ are reported to have a 5,000mAh capacity, but the Ultra variant will have additional cooling capabilities, enabling it to achieve higher charging rates.

Notably, Samsung’s perennial rival, Apple, is also rumored to adopt the same stacked battery technology for all iPhone 15 models. This indicates a fierce competition between the two tech giants in pushing the boundaries of battery innovation.

Samsung’s adoption of stacked battery technology in the upcoming Galaxy S24 series represents a significant step forward in charging capabilities. With faster charging speeds and increased battery capacity, Samsung aims to enhance the user experience and keep pace with technological advancements.

As the rivalry between Samsung and Apple intensifies, we can expect both companies to leverage stacked battery technology to deliver more powerful and efficient devices in the near future.
