Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Leaks in Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy S24 series launch in January, and we’ve got some fresh insights for you today. The US variant of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra recently made an appearance on Geekbench, and it’s packing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with the codename “pineapple.”

Here’s the lowdown on this chipset: it boasts a 1+3+2+2 CPU configuration. The primary core clocks in at 3.30 GHz, which is a smidge slower than the previous Snapdragon flagship. But here’s where it gets interesting – the second cluster rocks three cores at 3.15 GHz, the third cluster features two cores at 2.96 GHz, and the remaining two cores come in at 2.27 GHz.

The phone that underwent the benchmarking process was equipped with a modest 8 GB of RAM. It’s also expected to run on Android 14, likely with the One UI 6.1 interface.

Now, let’s get to the numbers. The benchmark results revealed a single-core score of 2,234 and a multi-core score of 6,807. These results signify a substantial boost compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset – a 15% improvement for the single-core and a whopping 35% jump for the multi-core.

The big takeaway here is not just about the benchmark numbers; it’s the confirmation that Samsung is once again offering a range of chipsets. While the Exynos 2400 platform will power some Galaxy S24 flagships, the Galaxy S24 Ultra seems to be going all-in with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
