Yuzu Emulator Release New Updates, with Huge Performance Boost in Android!

Yuzu Emulator has just rolled out the much-anticipated 136 update, nicknamed ‘Yuzu NCE’ (Native Code Execution). This update lets Switch code run directly on your device’s CPU, thanks to the similar architecture between the Switch and Android

Well, if you’re into Nintendo Switch emulation, this update is a game-changer. It not only brings a bunch of performance improvements but could make the difference between playing a game or not. Check out the video mentioned above to see Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Ori and the Blind Forest, and a smooth Skyrim running at nearly 60fps and a comfy 30fps.

Sure, there are some occasional drops, but the experience is pretty stable. The AYN Odin 2 has robust hardware, and even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in many mobiles today handles it well. And guess what? The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is on the horizon with significant improvements.

If you’re eager to try Yuzu NCE, head to GitHub for the official release.

How to Use Yuzu Emulator in Android

  1. Launch Yuzu
  2. Tap ‘Advanced Settings’
  3. Hit ‘Debug’
  4. Go to ‘CPU Backend’
  5. Finally, select ‘NCE’
