Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure is a game released for the Game Boy Advance, based on the manga and anime series Dragon Ball. Featuring 30 playable characters, the game includes five gameplay modes. The storyline kicks off at the series’ inception, with Goku meeting Bulma and culminates in the epic final battle against King Piccolo. Players embark on Goku’s life-defining adventure, encompassing most of the Dragon Ball story arcs, with the notable exception of the “Piccolo Junior” plot from the series’ end.

Throughout the game, players can collect numerous hidden items, ranging from health and ki boosters to Dragon Balls, and iconic objects like Master Roshi’s sunglasses and Mercenary Tao’s cyborg helmet. Initially, only Goku is playable, but completing Goku’s Story Mode unlocks the ability to play Kuririn’s Story Mode. However, Kuririn’s mode lacks scenes or a narrative; it solely focuses on the levels. No other character can be used to play the Story Mode.
