What is Tuning in Reverse 1999?
Tuning is a game feature that can give you a little edge in battles. As you progress through the main story, you’ll gradually unlock Tuning abilities or skills. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything yet; it takes time.
First Melody:
Your first Tuning skill, obtained by completing 1-14 of the main questline. It doesn’t use Moxie and provides a boost during combat, helping you get used to the game’s mechanics. First Melody increases the initial Moxie Vertin has at the beginning of a battle.
Incantations:
Create a 1-star Incantation right away, and then combine it with another 1-star Incantation to make a 2-star. It randomly alters Incantations. To use the First Melody Tuning set, look for it on the screen during combat and select the skill you want to use.
Grand Orchestra:
This Tuning skill set is more challenging to obtain, requiring completion of every training stage. It has increased overall costs, and unlike First Melody, it doesn’t provide passive Moxie regeneration. You need to be more proactive in arranging your cards in your deck. Save Grand Orchestra for boss fights or battles with many rounds as its benefits take longer to show up.
Understanding Tuning adds an extra layer to your Reverse 1999 strategy. As you continue your adventure, keep experimenting with different Tuning sets and find the ones that work best for you. Enjoy the journey through time and combat in Reverse 1999!
