Volzerk The Monster Hunter Like Mobile Games Closed After 1 Year!

Volzerk: Monsters and Lands Unknown the monster hunter-like mobile game developed by COLOPL, is set to closed on March 29. Despite its unique monster breeding gameplay, the game couldn’t sustain its player base and will close after approximately 1 year and 3 months since its launch on January 12, 2023.

The game allowed players to raise monsters from eggs, breed them to create unique combinations, and utilize them for character abilities and combo strategies. Players could even breed their monsters with those of others.

Despite having an ambitious budget and featuring renowned Japanese voice actors like Ai Kakuma and Aimi Tanaka, Volzerk failed to maintain its player count. Even with availability on PC via Steam, the game attracted minimal players, with SteamDB data showing only a handful of players.

The closure of Volzerk serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by mobile game developers when trying to introduce new concepts or follow popular trends. While some experiments succeed, others, like Volzerk, unfortunately, fail which ends up being closed.
