Earth Day, observed annually on April 22nd, serves as a reminder to protect our planet. Joining the cause, Niantic hosts its Sustainability Week event in Pokemon GO, offering trainers a chance to engage in eco-friendly activities and earn rewards. From April 22nd at 10:00 am to the 26th at 8:00 pm local time, dive into this environmentally-conscious event.

What to Expect During Pokemon Go Sustainability Week?

During Sustainability Week, your buddy Pokémon will take an active role, bringing you souvenirs more frequently. Plus, they’ll stay on the map longer after being fed Berries or Poffins, and the distance required to collect buddy hearts will be halved, fostering stronger bonds with your favorite Pokémon.

If you enjoy walking to hatch eggs, this event offers a special treat. Two-kilometer eggs hatched during the event have a higher chance of being Shiny. Look out for Combee, Driilbur, Trubbish, Foongus, and Binacle in these eggs.

Engage in various Field Research tasks, featuring Pokémon like those mentioned above. Embracing the event’s theme, these tasks revolve around sustainability. Team up with fellow trainers to achieve Collection Challenge goals, earning abundant Stardust and XP rewards upon reaching milestones.

Throughout the event, keep an eye out for PokéStop Showcases featuring event-themed Pokémon. These showcases provide additional opportunities to encounter and capture these special Pokémon. Join Pokemon GO’s Sustainability Week to celebrate Earth Day together while embarking on exciting adventures and contributing to a greener world!
