WhatsApp is continually evolving to enhance user experience, and its latest beta versions for Android unveil two promising features in the pipeline: an in-app dialer and a hidden group option for communities.

The upcoming in-app dialer, spotted in WhatsApp for Android’s beta version 2.24.9.28, aims to streamline communication by allowing users to call contacts on WhatsApp without the need to save their numbers. This feature mirrors the convenience of messaging unsaved contacts, eliminating the hassle of temporarily adding numbers to the address book.

Not only that, according to WABETAINFO, WhatsApp is experimenting with a “Hidden group” feature for communities, as revealed in beta version 2.24.9.20. This functionality enables users to conceal groups within communities, limiting visibility to invited members. Community admins retain control, being able to discover and remove these hidden groups as needed.

While these features are currently undergoing testing in beta versions, it remains uncertain when they will be available to users worldwide on the stable version of WhatsApp. Stay tuned for further updates as WhatsApp continues to refine its offerings to meet the evolving needs of its global user base.
