3 New Feature Coming to Android 15 BETA 1.2 Update

Google has just released the Android 15 Beta 1.2 update, and developer Mishaal Rahman has uncovered new and useful features aimed at enhancing the notification experience on Android devices.

Feature Coming to Android 15 BETA 1.2

1. Notification Cooldown

Next Feature coming to Android 15 is the Notification Cooldown which is available to system settings. Designed to address a common annoyance faced by many Android users – constant notification bombardment and vibrations from apps, especially social media apps, when the device is locked.

The Notification Cooldown feature allows users to gradually decrease the volume of consecutive notifications from the same app, effectively reducing the disruptive impact of continuous notifications.

This can be particularly useful in situations where you might receive a flurry of messages in a group chat or a series of updates from social media apps, often resulting in an annoying and confusing experience.

2. Vibrate When Unlock

Notification Cooldown will also introduce a new option called Vibrate when Unlock which This setting, which is inactive by default, allows users to receive notifications when their device is in locked screen mode without the phone vibrating.

This feature can be highly beneficial for users who prefer a more discreet notification experience, especially in situations where constant vibrations may be disruptive or unwanted, such as during meetings.

By enabling the “Vibrate When Unlock” option, users can still be alerted to incoming notifications without additional disturbance from their device’s vibrations.

3. Notification Management Improvements

By providing more detailed control over notification volume and vibrations, the company addresses common pain points and empowers users to tailor their notification settings to better suit their individual needs and preferences.

These new features are particularly relevant in today’s digital landscape, where mobile users often receive a constant stream of notifications from various apps and services. The ability to manage these notifications more effectively can help reduce stress, boost productivity, and create a smoother and more enjoyable user experience.
