vivo has quietly unveiled its latest offering, the Y38, in Taiwan today. While there was no grand announcement, the smartphone has made its debut on vivo’s official website for the region. However, given vivo’s global presence, we anticipate the Y38 to hit shelves in other markets soon.

The vivo Y38 boasts a spacious 6.68-inch 120 Hz LCD touchscreen, offering smooth and responsive visuals for an enhanced user experience. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage via microSD cards up to 1TB.

In terms of photography, the Y38 features a versatile camera setup, including a 50 MP main rear camera and a 2 MP depth sensor, along with an 8 MP selfie shooter. Security is prioritized with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.

One of the standout features of the Y38 is its massive 6,000 mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage on a single charge. Additionally, it supports 44W fast wired charging, allowing for quick replenishment of battery life when needed.

Vivo Y38 Comes with Android 14 and Funtouch OS 14

Running on Android 14 with vivo’s Funtouch OS 14 overlay, the Y38 offers a user-friendly interface with access to a wide range of apps and features. Available in Agate Green and Pacific Blue color options, the device sports a sleek design with an IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance.

Whether you opt for the Agate Green variant with its slim 7.99 mm profile or the Pacific Blue option featuring embedded sparkles reminiscent of ocean waves, the vivo Y38 promises to deliver a refreshing and reliable smartphone experience in the lower-midrange segment.
