Honkai Star Rail Pity – In gacha game like Honkai Star Rail, navigating the intricacies of its gacha system can sometimes feel like a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

One moment you’re on the edge of your seat, hoping to finally secure that coveted rate-up character, and the next, you’re left scratching your head as another Eidolon appears before your eyes. But what if I told you that the odds might be in your favor more than you realize?

Recent research conducted by Bilibili creator 一棵平衡樹 (OneBST) has shed new light on the supposed 50/50 chances in Honkai Star Rail’s limited banners. Contrary to popular belief, the chances of obtaining a rate-up character are closer to 56.4/43.6. This means that your odds of getting the character you desire might be higher than you initially thought.

How Does the Pity System in Honkai Star Rail Works?

Honkai Star Rail

Limited banners in Honkai Star Rail operate similarly to those in Genshin Impact. When you pull for a 5-star character, you have a 50/50 chance of receiving the rate-up character. If luck isn’t on your side, you’ll receive a random standard 5-star character instead. However, fear not, as your next 5-star pull is guaranteed to be the rate-up character. This guarantee carries over to subsequent banners, along with your current pity count.

What the Research Reveals

The researcher analyzed over 15 million pulls using GGanalysis and conducted extensive tests to arrive at their findings. Despite previous tests yielding true 50/50 results in Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail’s system appears to offer slightly better odds for obtaining banner characters.

While the statistics may suggest favorable odds, individual experiences in the game can vary greatly. Players find themselves winning the 50/50 while other have more losses. Ultimately, there are no guaranteed of a way to change it.

Regardless, Hoyoverse hasn’t really confirm this findings, and players might be more hopefull in trying to find the odds that are true rather than false as the odds is currently rigged to the player side..

In the meantime, whether you’re basking in the glow of victory or lamenting a streak of losses, remember that the thrill of the gacha lies in its unpredictability. And who knows? Maybe your next pull will be the one that defies the odds and brings you that elusive character you’ve been chasing.
