Want to add some extra flair to your Minecraft character? Look no further than Minecraft Capes! These cool accessories let you stand out from the crowd, whether you’re exploring solo or hanging out on multiplayer servers.
Capes are a bit rarer than regular skins, but they’re definitely worth getting your hands on. They not only customize your character’s body, but also add a cool touch to your elytra wings when you’re flying around.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to equip capes in both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.
Who can wear a Minecraft Cape?
Anyone who owns Minecraft and has a cape in their account can rock this awesome accessory! Before Minecraft’s 15th anniversary, capes were a bit more rare, but now you might have a free one waiting for you.
How to Equip Cape in Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition
Here’s the cool part: equipping capes is actually pretty easy! The process is just a little different depending on whether you play Java Edition or Bedrock Edition.
Java Edition:
- Head over to Minecraft.net and log in using your Microsoft account.
- Tap My Games and Change Skin to change your minecraft skin.
- Scroll all the way down to the bottom and find “Change your cape.” Here, you can pick the cape you want to wear.
- Once you’ve chosen your cape, just close the browser and launch Minecraft. Your cape should be waiting for you! (Press F5 to switch to third-person view and admire your new look.)
Bedrock Edition:
- Open Minecraft and go to the dressing room. Select your character.
- On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a menu with different options. Click on “Capes.”
- Here, you can choose the cape you want to wear and hit “Equip.”
- Boom! Your cape should now be visible on your character. Want to see it in all its glory? Go to your video settings and switch from “First Person” view to “Third Person Back.”
That’s all there is to it! Now you can strut your stuff in Minecraft with a stylish cape that shows off your unique personality.
