OnePlus took a leap into the foldable smartphone arena last October with its debut device, the OnePlus Open 2. However, fans anticipating its successor will need to exercise some patience as it won’t hit the shelves this year.

According to a reliable source, Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Open 2 is slated for launch in the first quarter of 2025. This delay suggests that the device might come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, an upgrade from its predecessor’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

The OnePlus Open 2 is rumored to boast several enhancements, including an upgraded hinge for improved durability, a sleeker design, and a folding screen with minimal creasing. Additionally, users can expect a high-resolution cover screen for enhanced usability, and there’s speculation about the inclusion of a periscope camera for improved photography.

Given that the OnePlus Open was essentially a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N3, it’s likely that the Find N4/N5 series will share similarities with the Open 2. Excitement is building as we await further details about the Open 2, promising a compelling addition to the foldable smartphone market in 2025. Stay tuned for updates!
