Samsung continues its relentless march of software updates, with the latest being One UI 6.1 rolling out to more devices, even hitting lower price points. Today, the Galaxy A23, a lower-midrange phone from two years ago, joins the lineup receiving this update.

What’s New in One UI 6.1 in Samsung Galaxy A23

While the Galaxy A23 isn’t part of Samsung’s flagship lines, it still benefits from bug fixes and performance enhancements packed inside the One UI 6.1 update. However, it will miss out on the Galaxy AI features introduced alongside the Galaxy S24 family earlier this year.

Currently, the update is only available in Samsung’s native South Korea, but it’s expected to roll out to other regions soon. It comes as a hefty 2GB download delivered over-the-air. Upon installation, The A23 model will be running a new software with One UI 6.1. Keep in mind that the build number may vary depending on your location.

As of now, the update has been released only for the 4G version of the Galaxy A23. However, the 5G-capable model is likely to receive the update in the near future. Stay tuned for further updates as One UI 6.1 continues its expansion to more Samsung devices, offering improved performance and a better user experience for Galaxy A23 users and beyond.
