Take-Two CEO Talks GTA 6 and Hints at What’s Next About GTA 7

GTA 6

Remember the long wait for news on Grand Theft Auto 6? Well, things finally started moving in late 2023 with the reveal of the first trailer. But what about the future of the series? Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently offered some insights.

While discussing GTA 6 at a conference, Zelnick surprisingly mentioned its successor, GTA 7! This came up when he was asked about the gap between major GTA releases. The host jokingly asked if there would be another long wait for GTA 7, and Zelnick played along.

But here’s the interesting part: Zelnick pointed out that Rockstar wasn’t idle during the years between GTA 5 and 6. They were busy creating and managing the massive online world of GTA Online, which continues to be a huge success. He also mentioned the development of Red Dead Redemption 2 during that time.

So, while we don’t have any official details on GTA 7 yet, Zelnick’s comments suggest Rockstar is constantly working on new projects, even while supporting existing titles. This could mean a shorter wait for GTA 7 compared to GTA 6.

Of course, there’s still no official announcement about GTA 6 coming to PC. Zelnick hinted that Rockstar has a specific strategy for PC releases, but didn’t elaborate further. For now, GTA fans can look forward to GTA 6 coming this fall, and maybe even some earlier hints about what’s to come in the future of the series, including a possible GTA 7.
