Since the launch of the Poco M6 Pro 5G last year, the Poco lineup has been steadily expanding. With the recent certifications and sightings, it seems that a new addition, the Poco M6 Plus 5G, might be on its way to join the family.

Certified by BIS in India last month, the phone has now surfaced on the Google Play Console with the model number 24065PC95I, indicating an imminent launch in India. The model number convention suggests a potential release date in June, although actual launch dates can sometimes vary.

According to the Google Play Console listing, the phonewill sport a screen resolution of 1080×2460 and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. Interestingly, these specifications mirror those of the M6 Pro 5G, raising questions about potential differentiators between the two models.

Rumors suggest that the Poco M6 Plus 5G could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R, recently launched in China. While rebranding is common within the Xiaomi ecosystem, the similarities between the Redmi Note 13R and the M6 Pro 5G beg the question of differentiation.

As anticipation builds around the potential launch of the Poco M6 Plus 5G, enthusiasts eagerly await further details to discern how it may distinguish itself within the increasingly diverse Poco lineup.
