Here is the information regarding the Honor Unveils 2 AI Innovations Defocus Eye Protection, and Deepfake Detection! At the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai, Honor has made waves with the introduction of two cutting-edge AI-based technologies. As technology continues to advance, the importance of integrating smart and protective features into our devices has never been more critical. Honor’s latest innovations, AI Defocus Eye Protection and AI Deepfake Detection, aim to address both health and security concerns in the digital age.
Honor AI Defocus Eye Protection
In response to the rising incidence of myopia (nearsightedness) due to prolonged screen time, Honor has unveiled its AI Defocus Eye Protection technology. This innovative feature uses AI to simulate the effects of defocus glasses directly on the device’s display. These glasses create a controlled defocus in the peripheral visual field while maintaining clear central vision. This altered visual perception helps slow down the elongation of the eyeball, a process that contributes to myopia.
Honor claims that this technology can reduce transient myopia by an average of 13 degrees after just 25 minutes of reading. In some cases, users have experienced a reduction of up to 75 degrees. This groundbreaking technology could be a game-changer for those who spend long hours in front of screens, offering a new way to protect eye health.
Honor AI Deepfake Detection
Honor also introduced its AI Deepfake Detection technology, aimed at combating digital fraud and identifying manipulated content. This technology works by analyzing generated content frame by frame, looking at factors such as eye contact, image clarity, lighting, and video playback. It can detect subtle flaws that are often missed by the human eye.
The AI Deepfake Detection has been trained on a vast dataset of images and videos related to online scams, enabling it to identify, screen, and compare content within three seconds. If manipulated content is detected, a risk warning is immediately displayed, helping to protect users from potential scammers.
