Gaming platform Rec Room is partnering with Bungie to bring Destiny 2 to a wider audience. The new experience, called Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet, merges the sci-fi world of Destiny 2 with Rec Room’s community-focused environment.

Destiny 2, a first-person shooter MMO developed by Bungie, was released in 2017. Players take on the role of Guardians, who wield elemental powers to defend humanity and explore the solar system. Since its launch, Destiny 2 has had yearly expansions and quarterly seasons that add new content like raids and dungeons. The latest season, The Final Shape, launched earlier this month.

Rec Room

Starting July 11th, Rec Room users can explore a detailed recreation of Destiny Tower, an iconic location from Destiny 2. This can be experienced on console, PC, VR, and mobile. In this new experience, players train to become Guardians, embark on epic adventures, and connect with other Destiny 2 fans.

The new experience also introduces a range of cosmetics based on Destiny’s three classes: Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. The Hunter set and weapon skins are available now, while the Titan and Warlock sets will be released in the coming weeks.
