The First Descendant Best Weapon Tier List July 2024 – Welcome back, everyone! Today, we’ll dive into the best weapons in “The First Descendant,” a game with a vast arsenal to choose from. Enemies drop a variety of weapons, making it challenging to determine which ones pack the most punch. After extensive testing, I’ve compiled a tier list of the top-performing weapons. Let’s get right into it!

S-Tier Weapons

1. Thunder Cage (Submachine Gun)

This weapon excels in fast-paced combat, releasing an electric shockwave when you defeat enemies, dealing additional AoE damage. It’s obtainable early in the game but its special effects activate after a few kills. Suitable for all characters, it’s a reliable choice for any build.

2. Python (Submachine Gun)

Python shines with its unique ability, Prey, which reduces enemy resistances. This effect can stack up to 20 times, making it ideal for non-element and toxic descendants like Frina, Glay, and Enzo. It requires good aim but is highly rewarding.

3. Perforator (Hand Cannon)

Perfect for tackling shielded enemies, the Perforator delivers high damage with precise shots. It can deplete enemy shields and potentially stun them. This weapon is effective for all classes, particularly against shielded foes.

4. Secret Garden (Tactical Rifle)

A semi-automatic rifle that restores your tech resource and boosts damage when using Dimension skills. It suits characters like Glay or Ajax, providing a high firing rate and ammo capacity.

5. Enduring Legacy (Machine Gun)

This weapon accelerates elemental effects like burn and chill while reducing enemy resistances. It’s perfect for descendants with elemental skills, offering high firing speed and efficient reloads.

6. Smithereens (Shotgun)

Smithereens increases critical hit rate and damage with each hit, making it ideal for critical-focused builds. It’s recommended for characters like Sharon and Bunny, though it requires precise aiming.

7. Afterglow Sword (Sniper Rifle)

This sniper rifle excels in weak point damage, stacking a unique effect called Dead Propagation. It’s great for taking down tough enemies, rewarding skilled players with high critical hit rates.

A-Tier Weapons

1. Fallen Hope (Assault Rifle)

Ideal against poisoned enemies, this rifle increases your ATK and applies more poison damage. It triggers an explosion on enemy death, dealing significant AoE damage. It’s especially effective for FR players.

2. Gregs Reversed (Tactical Rifle)

This rifle triggers a bombardment and burn effect on enemies with max shields, enhancing AoE damage but reducing accuracy. It’s powerful for initial hits but requires careful handling.

3. Executor (Shotgun)

Known for high damage, the Executor electrocutes enemies and boosts firearm ATK. It’s suitable for fast-moving characters like Bunny and Shin, offering high DPS when used correctly.

4. Wave of Light (Scout Rifle)

This rifle boosts critical hit rate and reduces recoil after reloading. It applies debuffs and enhances DPS, making it a versatile choice for all descendants.

5. Sigvores Proof (Launcher)

Effective in clearing weaker enemies, this launcher sticks and detonates grenades, inflicting burn. It’s especially useful for the Blair character.

6. Nazeistra’s Devotion (Hand Cannon)
This versatile weapon reduces enemy defenses and restores ally shields, making it perfect for support-oriented descendants like J Bear and Yuin.

B-Tier Weapons

1. Blue Beetle (Scout Rifle)

Balancing offense and defense, this rifle provides buffs based on skill usage. It’s reliable for versatile characters like Yuin or Valby but can be inconvenient due to its tied buffs.

2. Final Masterpiece (Handgun)

Offering various buffs upon reload, this handgun suits all descendants but its random buffs can limit damage potential.

3. Divine Punishment (Assault Rifle)

Great for support descendants, this rifle rewards you for buffing allies, strengthening defenses and firepower, and reducing skill cooldowns.

4. Piercing Light (Sniper Rifle)

Excelling in precision shooting, it offers high critical hit chances and removes enemy buffs, making it a strong choice for all characters.

5. Restored Relic (Launcher)

This launcher fires guided missiles dealing continuous damage, suitable for all descendants.

6. Clairvoyance (Beam Rifle)

Dealing more damage the longer you hold the fire button, it applies frostbite-like effects and reduces enemy resistance, best used for high-damage skills.

C-Tier Weapons

1. Last Dagger (Handgun)

Increases damage with stacking buffs upon defeating enemies. Maintaining buffs is challenging, making it risky but potentially powerful.

2. Albon Cavalry Gun (Machine Gun)

Excels against stunned enemies, increasing damage and applying debuffs. It’s ideal for descendants who can stun opponents but becomes useless against unstunnable foes.

D-Tier Weapon

1. King’s Guard LS (Beam Rifle)

Known for area control, it enhances duration and range with each activation but requires significant setup and practice. Suitable for all descendants but demands mastery.

In “The First Descendant,” handguns generally offer lower damage and limited ammo, while hand cannons excel in boss fights. Beam rifles and tactical rifles are situational, and rocket launchers are powerful but limited by ammo.

Assault rifles and machine guns are often the best choices due to their large magazine sizes and high damage. I hope this tier list helps you choose the best weapon for your playstyle. If you have any questions or suggestions, leave them in the comments below.
