What is the Odachi?

The Odachi is a Mythic-rarity Shikai weapon in Type Soul, making it a rare and valuable item. In fact, it’s the only Mythic weapon available in the game. The chance of rolling an Odachi when getting a weapon is just 0.5%, which means you have a 1 in 200 chance of obtaining it. This sword is based on the historical Japanese weapon known as the nodachi, a long, single-edged blade.

Only Shinigami characters can wield the Odachi, so make sure you’re playing as one if you want to use this weapon.

Odachi Moveset

The Odachi comes with a range of attacks that can be combined with different Shikai or Bankai for versatile strategies:

• Default Attacks: The basic attack (M1) consists of a five-part combo of sword swings. This combo is useful for dealing consistent damage to opponents.
• Crit Attack: The crit attack includes two initial swings followed by a powerful impalement move. After impaling the target, the Odachi kicks them off the blade, sending them flying and causing them to fall. Be cautious, though; if an opponent blocks the third swing, they may take less damage and avoid the knockdown effect.
• Bankai Crit: When using your Bankai, a crit attack produces large slashing claw marks that cut through the air. This move doesn’t include the impalement effect of the regular crit, so plan your attacks accordingly.
