Cards in Block Tales serve different purposes. Some support allies, others debuff enemies, and a few enhance your own abilities. Here’s a rundown of the best cards to equip for various roles in your gameplay.

S Tier: Top-Tier Cards

These are the most powerful cards in the game:

  • HP Drain: Regenerates your HP when you attack enemies.
  • Good Vibes: Restores HP and SP for you and your team by sleeping.
  • SP Finder: Increases SP regeneration during battles.
  • HP Finder: Boosts HP regeneration in battles.
  • Cure: Restores HP.
  • Charge DEF: Enhances your Defense.
  • I Spy: Alerts you with visual and sound cues when a Bux is nearby.
  • Resurrect: Revives a fallen ally.
  • Linebounce: Attacks all nearby enemies with a bouncing ball.
  • Snowball: Freezes the enemy.
  • Safe Guard: Reduces damage taken while guarding.
  • HP+: Boosts your overall HP.

A Tier: Strong Cards

These cards are great for support, buffs, and combat:

  • Shrinking: Allows you to shrink and reach difficult areas.
  • Ice Dagger: Regenerates HP and SP, buffs Defense for 3 rounds.
  • Item+: Enhances your items.
  • SP Drain: Regenerates SP while attacking.
  • Thorns: Increases counterattack damage.

These cards are decent but not exceptional:

  • Sacrifice: Heals the party by 5 HP but takes 5 HP from your own health.
  • Free Poison: Grants an ally Poison ability but disables Ball use.
  • Happy SP: Restores 1 SP per round.
  • Lucky Start: Causes something good to happen at the start of battle.
  • Defend+: Buffs Defense by 1.
  • Ante Up: Increases damage if you succeed in an Action Command, but deals 0 damage if you fail.
  • SP Regen+: Increases SP recovery after battles.
  • Minimize: Shrinks the enemy.
  • Baller: Boosts ball attack power but disables sword use.
  • Knight: Boosts sword attack power but disables ball use.
  • Speed Spin: Speeds up spin dash but shortens its duration.
  • Sword Toss: Throws your sword at enemies.

C Tier: Below Average

These cards are not very impactful:

  • Dynamite: Used to destroy rubble.
  • ATK-FX Y/B/G: Changes sound effects of attacks but offers no real benefit.
  • Hard Mode: Increases game difficulty for extra EXP.

D Tier: Weakest Cards

The least useful cards in the game:

  • Ball: The basic card you start with.
  • Sword: Breaks wooden planks and attacks enemies.
