Exploring the Mithril Order in Dungeonborne A Beginner’s Guide

Dungeonborne stands out as a major competitor to Dark and Darker. While these games differ in many ways, they both offer a challenging experience set in dark, menacing worlds filled with monsters and other players eager to hunt you down. Both are free-to-play and currently in Early Access. If you’re interested in diving into Dungeonborne but feel a bit hesitant, the game has a beginner-friendly mode called Mithril Order that might just be what you’re looking for. Here’s a closer look at what Mithril Order has to offer.

What is Dungeonborne Mithril Order?

Dungeon crawlers like Dungeonborne can be tough to master. To help new players get comfortable, Mithril Interactive introduced Mithril Order. This mode provides a safer environment to practice and learn the game’s mechanics without the usual risks.

Classes and Progression

In Mithril Order, you start with three pre-defined classes:

  • Mithril Zealot (Fighter)
  • Mithril Devout (Priest)
  • Mithril Shadow (Rogue)

Each class comes fully equipped and ready for action. As you play, you’ll gain reputation by battling enemies and other players. Increasing your reputation unlocks new abilities and better starting gear for your chosen faction.

Gameplay and Rewards

One of the key benefits of Mithril Order is that it’s more forgiving than the main game. If your character dies, you won’t lose any progress. This makes it a great way to explore maps and get familiar with the game without the pressure of losing your main character’s progress.

When you successfully escape from a dungeon, all the items you collected are automatically dismantled for materials or sold for treasure and sent to your main character. This feature makes Mithril Order an excellent risk-free farming method.

Additional Notes

The classes in Mithril Order are not as powerful as those in the main game, making it a more balanced experience for newcomers. Interestingly, this game mode was also used as a main playtest mode in September 2023, offering a glimpse into Dungeonborne’s earlier development stages.

So, if you’re new to Dungeonborne or just want a more relaxed way to get into the game, give Mithril Order a try. It’s designed to help you learn and enjoy the game’s world without the usual high stakes.
