Weapon Trial 3 Sword of Convallaria Guide, Objective and Team Setup

Weapon Trial 3 Sword of Convallaria

Today we are going to give you another guide for Sword of Convallaria (SoC), and today we’re diving into how to effectively farm legendary weapons in the game. This is the first part of a three-part series, and we’ll be focusing on Weapon Trial 3. The Weapon Trial will unlock itself all on Sunday, and it’s the perfect time to farm all the trials, but I’ll zero in on Stage 7 and beyond. The strategies we discuss will be adaptable to all stages as you become more powerful, so let’s get started!

3-star Objectives for Success Guide

To achieve three stars in Weapon Trial 3, you need to complete the challenge in 15 rounds or less and have no more than two characters die. This allows you to use the sweep feature daily for a chance to get legendary weapon drops. To hit these objectives, here’s what you’ll need to focus on:

  1. One-shot the turrets: The turrets are crucial to defeat quickly. If they attack, they can cause major problems for your team. Ensure you have a couple of characters dedicated to taking them out in one hit.
  2. Survive boss attacks: You must withstand both the boss’s single-target attacks and its AOE attacks, which can wipe out your team if not managed properly.

Team Setup and Roles in Weapon Trial 3 Sword of Convallaria

Here’s a breakdown of my recommended character roles and setups for this trial:

1. Main Tanker: Gloria

  • Role: Gloria will be your main damage dealer, chipping away at the boss while benefiting from her Front Defense ability, which reduces damage taken when facing the enemy head-on.
  • Setup: Equip her with the Redemption of Judgement Tarot to strip buffs from the boss while maximizing her attack potential.

2. Turret Killers: Col and Crimson Falcon

  • Role: Both Col and Crimson Falcon should focus primarily on taking out turrets. Utilize the Ambush ability to deal bonus damage to the turrets, ensuring they can eliminate them effectively.
  • Col’s Setup: Use Eerie Footwork to increase survivability. Col’s reset ability allows for multiple attacks in quick succession.
  • Crimson Falcon’s Setup: Pair her with Vital Guard or Battle Fever to mitigate damage and ensure she stays alive during the fight.

3. Support: Faycal and Angel

  • Faycal: Acts as a secondary DPS and turret killer. He’ll help chip away at the boss and can pop the boss’s shield when needed.
  • Angel: Provides both single-target and AOE healing while increasing magic defense for allies within two tiles. Equip her with Hermit for extra survivability.

Battle Strategy Guide Weapon Trial 3

Now that you have your characters set up, here’s a play-by-play strategy for tackling Weapon Trial 3:

  1. Initial Moves: Start by moving Gloria into a position to take out the first turret. Once the turret is destroyed, the boss will summon another turret. Use March Command to position Col for an easy kill on the new turret.
  2. Chipping Away at the Boss: While the turret killers handle turret duty, FAL can start chipping away at the boss’s health. Make sure to save energy for stronger attacks when the opportunity arises.
  3. Maintain Healing and Defense: Keep Angel positioned to heal as necessary and ensure everyone benefits from her magic defense buff. It’s crucial to stay topped off, especially before the boss’s AOE attacks.
  4. Popping the Boss’s Shield: When the boss summons its shield, prioritize popping it quickly to avoid massive damage from its explosive AOE. Coordinate attacks to maximize damage output and shield destruction.
  5. Managing Turrets and the Boss: As the fight progresses, stay focused on eliminating turrets whenever they spawn. Use your character’s skills effectively to balance between turret killing and boss damage.
  6. Final Rounds: In the later rounds, once the boss’s health is low, you can be more aggressive. Push your DPS characters forward to maximize damage while keeping your healer in a safe position for support.

Following this guide should help you tackle Weapon Trial 3 effectively, allowing you to farm for that coveted Sword of Convallaria legendary gear. Remember, adaptability is key; as you level up and your characters get stronger, you can apply these strategies to higher stages, like Stage 8 and 9.
