A new system called Equipment Memory has recently been introduced in the China beta test server of Ragnarok M Eternal Love. This exciting feature offers various stats similar to enchantments but is specifically tied to equipment slots. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about Equipment Memory, so you can prepare for its release in SEA, Global, and EU servers. Let’s get started!
Ragnarok M Eternal Love Equipment Memory Guide
How to Obtain Equipment Memory
To get started with Equipment Memory, you’ll need to collect two key materials: Memory Afterglow and Memory Core. Both can be obtained by clearing the new Ghost Palace weekly instance. If you’re unfamiliar with how the Ghost Palace works, be sure to check out my previous video linked in the description!
Using Equipment Memory
You can find your Equipment Memories in the last tab of your backpack inventory. There are currently three types of Sakray series memories available:
- Green-quality: Sakray’s Fragmented Memory
- Blue-quality: Sakray’s Precious Memory
- Purple-quality: Sakray’s Legendary Memory
These memories can be installed on your weapon and two accessory slots, meaning they are linked to equipment slots rather than the equipment itself. You can install, change, or remove memories using the yellow button or by accessing the equipment development interface.
Upgrading Equipment Memory
To upgrade your Equipment Memories, you will need Memory Afterglow. The maximum level for memories is 30, and upgrading will increase the basic attributes they provide, such as P.ATK, M.ATK, P.DEF, M.DEF, and Max HP. Here’s a breakdown of the upgrade requirements:
- Green-quality:
- 1 selectable attribute line unlocked at Lv. 10
- 89 Memory Afterglow needed for max Lv. 30
- Blue-quality:
- 2 selectable attribute lines unlocked at Lv. 20
- 178 Memory Afterglow needed for max Lv. 30
- Purple-quality:
- 3 selectable attribute lines unlocked at Lv. 30
- 370 Memory Afterglow needed for max Lv. 30
At max level, all memory types grant the same basic attributes, but the number of selectable lines differs.
Selectable Attributes in Memory Memory
When unlocking selectable lines, you can choose different attributes:
- 1st line: Attack attributes only
- 2nd line: Defense attributes only
- 3rd line: Attack, Defense, or Special attributes
Special attributes are especially beneficial for damage dealers, while tank and support classes may want to focus on Defense attributes. When you unlock a selectable line for the first time, it grants a random attribute. You can customize these attributes by consuming Memory Cores.
Customization Costs
- 1 Memory Core for the 1st line
- 5 Memory Cores for the 2nd line
- 100 Memory Cores for the 3rd line
Maximizing Equipment Memories
You can decompose Equipment Memories for extra upgrade materials. Here’s what you get:
- Lv. 1 Green-quality Memory: 1 Memory Afterglow
- Lv. 1 Blue-quality Memory: 5 Memory Afterglow
- Lv. 1 Purple-quality Memory: 1 Memory Core and 1 Memory Afterglow
When higher-level memories are decomposed, you’ll receive 80% of the upgrade cost back. You can also automate the decomposition of green and blue quality memories.
Recommended Progression Strategy
To maximize your Equipment Memories, focus on upgrading three purple-quality memories to Lv. 10 first. This unlocks the attack attributes, which are essential for damage dealers. After that, upgrade them one at a time to Lv. 30 to access the valuable special attributes.
For tank and support classes, it may be more effective to upgrade purple-quality memories to Lv. 20 first, then proceed to Lv. 30. Avoid using green or blue memories temporarily, as they only refund 80% of their upgrade cost.
Free-to-play players can earn 30 Memory Afterglow weekly by clearing Ghost Palace on Warrior difficulty. Without factoring in decomposition, it will take about three months to fully upgrade one purple-quality memory to Lv. 30.
Paid Options for Faster Progression
If you’re willing to spend real money, there are options to expedite your upgrades. The Legendary Memory Gift Box, priced at RMB 168, grants 1 Sakray’s Legendary Memory and 375 Memory Afterglow with a one-time purchase. This allows spenders to start with a max-level purple memory right away.
Another option is the Weekly Memory Supply box for 68 BCC, which offers 1 Sakray’s Legendary Memory, 50 Memory Afterglow, and 2 million Zeny, along with an extra Memory Core when decomposed.
