If you’re just starting your journey in Love and Deepspace, you’ve likely noticed the game’s unique blend of dating simulation and action role-playing mechanics. As someone who’s been playing since its launch in January, I’ve learned a lot—sometimes the hard way—and I wish I could go back and make some different choices.
But instead of rewinding time, I’m here to help you optimize your gameplay experience with five essential tips. By the end of this guide, you’ll be better prepared to manage your resources and progress smoothly in the game. Just a heads up: it’s recommended to have completed up to Chapter 2 before diving into these tips.
Love and Deepspace 5 Beginner Tips You Need to Know
1. Prioritize Your Dailies
This might seem obvious, but completing your daily tasks is crucial. Currently, it’s one of the few ways to level up outside of the main storyline. This is especially important because if your level isn’t high enough, the game will block your progress. Additionally, you’ll be limited in how much you can level up your memories, which are key to winning battles. Once you’ve unlocked all the game’s features, you can breeze through your dailies in just a few minutes. Here’s a quick checklist:
- Log in and claim/send stamina to friends.
- Interact with your love interests in the café.
- Use Quick Pursuit in the battle section.
- Complete a Core Hunt, fight Mr. Beanie and Heartbreaker, and use any remaining stamina on another Core Hunt or a bounty.
- Level up at least one memory.
- Visit the shop and claim your daily free pack.
2. Don’t Rush to Buy Combat Outfits
The stylish combat outfits might catch your eye in the shop, but hold off on purchasing them just yet. While they’re great for photos, they can’t be used in combat unless you’ve unlocked the matching companion. To do this, you’ll need two specific Myth memories for each love interest. These outfits are primarily for aesthetics and don’t provide any stat bonuses, so if you’re a free-to-play player, they may not be the best investment right away.
3. Spread Out Your Resources
It’s tempting to pour all your resources into your favorite love interest, but this can backfire. Focusing too heavily on one character can leave you struggling during challenge fights and bounty hunts that require a balanced team. I made this mistake by prioritizing Zayn, which led to frustrating grind sessions to upgrade Raphael and Xavier’s memories later. Keep some resources in reserve and be prepared to upgrade other characters as needed.
4. Be Strategic with Memory Upgrades
In Love and Deepspace, battles rely heavily on Actum colors and the strength of your memories. Each love interest specializes in different Actum colors: Xavier uses Emerald, Amber, and Ruby; Zayn uses Sapphire, Ruby, and Pearl; and Raphael uses Violet, Pearl, and Amber. As you progress, especially after reaching Hunter levels 30 and 40, make sure to have at least two upgraded Solar and Lunar memories for each character’s specialty colors. Avoid investing too much in three-star memories, as they won’t hold up in higher-level fights.
5. Choose Wisely with SSR Wish Crates
You’ll receive two SSR Wish Crates after making 150 and 300 wishes in the game. These crates allow you to pick any two Myth memories for Xavier, Zayn, and Raphael. If you’ve been lucky and already have most of these memories by the time you reach 300 wishes, feel free to select your favorite. However, if you’re missing any Myth memories, use the crates to complete your collection. Don’t make the same mistake I did by prioritizing a duplicate memory for my favorite character over filling gaps in my roster.
These tips should help you navigate the early stages of Love and Deepspace more efficiently, saving you from some of the pitfalls I encountered. If there’s anything else you’d like to know about the game, feel free to reach out.
