Anime Defenders Guide, How to Get Athenyx Tether

Anime Defenders Update 5 introduces a brand-new realm packed with challenges and a story mode to explore. While you can’t take the new units from the Athenyx Banners directly into the main game using Elemental Tokens, you’ll need a special item called Athenyx’s Tethers to bring these units back. Here’s how you can get all the different rarities of Athenyx’s Tethers: Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Secret.

You can earn Athenyx’s Tethers through two main methods: progressing through the Athenyx Battlepass and completing Challenges.

1. Athenyx Battlepass

Advancing through the Athenyx Battlepass will grant you various Athenyx Tethers. Here’s a breakdown of what you can earn at different levels:

  • Free: 5 Athenyx Tether (Rare)
  • Premium: 10 Athenyx Tether (Rare)
• Level 4
  • Free: 8 Athenyx Tether (Rare)

Completing Challenges can also earn you Athenyx Tethers. Here’s how the rewards break down:

• Legendary Tether: 15% chance
• Mythic Tether: 5% chance
• Secret Tether: 3% chance

Note that it’s not always guaranteed that you’ll get a Tether from a Challenge; you might receive Star Shards or other items instead.

Why Athenyx’s Tethers Matter

Athenyx’s Tethers are crucial for bringing back units from the Athenyx Realm into the main game. If you find Secret Units in Athenyx, you’ll specifically need Athenyx’s Tether (Secret) to transfer them. Without the proper Tether, these units can only be used within the Athenyx Realm.
