The gaming world is buzzing with excitement as Preston, the developer of Big Games, recently hinted at a standalone RNG (Random Number Generation) game set in the Pet Simulator universe. As the anticipation builds, fans and players are eager to know more about what this new game entails, and what it means for the existing Pet Simulator titles.

The Announcement and Community Response

On August 11, Preston took to Twitter to pose a question to the community: Should they create a Pet Simulator RNG standalone game? This idea came after a successful RNG event in Pet Simulator 99, which garnered significant attention and positive feedback from players. The poll attracted over 10,000 votes, with a staggering 60% in favor of the standalone RNG game. This overwhelming response suggests a clear demand for new content within the Pet Simulator universe.

The developer stated that the new RNG game would feature all 1,000+ pets from the franchise, including the coveted Titanics and Huges. Importantly, he reassured players that updates to Pet Simulator 99 would remain unaffected, indicating a separation of economies between the games. This strategic decision seems to be aimed at satisfying both old fans and newcomers to the series.

Features and Game Mechanics

Preston’s announcement has stirred considerable speculation about the mechanics and features of the upcoming RNG game. Based on earlier updates and community feedback, the game is expected to integrate a more complex economy, focusing heavily on the luck aspect associated with pet hatching and acquiring rare items. This is reminiscent of the highly popular RNG mechanics seen in other games, like “Souls RNG.”

Interestingly, a mysterious Game Pass titled “Moon” surfaced around the same time, hinting at its relation to the upcoming Pet RNG game. Although currently private and inaccessible, this Game Pass might play a pivotal role in the game’s economy or offer special features once the game is released.

Anticipated Release and Updates

As of now, there have been updates indicating that the Pet RNG game is still in development. On September 25, it was confirmed that there would be no update for Pet Simulator 99 on September 28, creating a wave of speculation that the new RNG game might debut that same day. Community members are actively debating whether the game will launch this Saturday, with many expressing hope for its timely arrival.

Despite this speculation, some players remain skeptical, worrying that a standalone RNG game could dilute the experience of existing games, especially if there’s no transfer of pets between titles. As the gaming community continues to engage with these developments, fans are looking forward to further clarifications from Big Games.
