Anime Vanguards How to Get and Equip Unit Familiars or Pets!

Anime Vanguards

The Anime Vanguards Update 1.5 has introduced a fascinating new feature: Unit Familiars. These companions provide helpful buffs to your units, enhancing your gameplay and giving you an edge in battles. In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know about Unit Familiars, how to get them, and how to equip them to boost your units’ performance.

  • Add New Familiars or Pets in UPD 8.5!

What Are Unit Familiars in Anime Vanguards?

Unit Familiars are little companions in Anime Vanguards that grant powerful buffs to the unit they are equipped to. These buffs can significantly improve your gameplay, with benefits including increased elemental damage, critical hit chance, and critical hit damage.

  • Elemental Damage: Increases the damage dealt by your unit’s elemental attacks.
  • Critical Hit Chance: Boosts the probability of your unit landing a critical hit.
  • Critical Hit Damage: Raises the damage output when a critical hit occurs.

Unit Familiars can only be equipped to one unit at a time, so to apply them to multiple units, you’ll need to obtain more Familiars. Each familiar provides a unique passive buff, but the values are randomized, so even with the same familiar, you might get different buffs from player to player.

How to Get a Unit Familiar

Unit Familiars cannot be purchased; they must be earned through gameplay. To obtain a Unit Familiar, you will need to take on the Occult Raid. Here’s how it works:

  1. Defeat Bosses: Each time you defeat a boss in the Occult Raid, you have a 1% chance to receive a Unit Familiar. Given the low drop rate, be prepared to take on many bosses before securing one—unless you’re very lucky, of course.
  2. Grind for Familiars: Since the drop rate is relatively low, acquiring multiple Unit Familiars will require some grinding. Keep taking on bosses in the Occult Raid to increase your chances of getting a familiar.

As of now, Turbo Granny is the only Unit Familiar available in the game, but with future updates, more familiars may be added to provide a variety of buffs and additional gameplay strategies.
