Arise Crossover may seem like a simple game at first—collect Shadow units, defeat enemies, and grow stronger. However, as you progress, you’ll quickly realize there’s more depth than meets the eye. Many players reach the endgame unsure of the best way to level up, build their team, or acquire stronger units. If you’re one of them, this beginner’s guide will help you understand Shadows, navigate dungeons, find weapons, and get a mount in Arise Crossover.
How Shadows Work in Arise Crossover
Shadows are your main units in Arise Crossover, and understanding their ranks is key to progression.
- Each of the three main islands contains multiple recruitable Shadows and one powerful dungeon Shadow.
- Unit ranks matter more than types. A Rank A Shadow will always be stronger than a Rank D one, even if the Rank D unit is a better species.
- Shadow rank determines max level: Rank D: Max level 75, Rank SS: Max level 200.
Your goal should be to collect high-ranked Shadows—ideally four SS-ranked Mifalcons—but getting there takes time.
Arise Crossover Dungeon Guide
Dungeons play a crucial role in obtaining higher-ranked Shadows. Here’s how they work:
- Dungeon Portals spawn every 30 minutes and remain active for 15 minutes.
- Portal locations are random on each island, and difficulty is also random.
- Dungeons are the only way to recruit rare units and obtain units above Rank C.
Best Dungeon Strategy for Beginners
- Start with Rank D units and aim for a Rank D or C dungeon on Leveling Island.
- Join any portal when you see a notification, even if your team is weak. Many experienced players carry weaker players through dungeons.
- Once you get a Rank A or S unit, use it to take on tougher dungeons for even stronger Shadows.
Progressing in Arise Crossover is all about dungeon farming—the more dungeons you complete, the stronger your Shadows become.
Are Weapons Useful in Arise Crossover?
Currently, weapons aren’t very effective in Arise Crossover.
- The best common weapon, Iron Kando Blade (60M coins), deals 516.1K damage.
- Meanwhile, Shadows deal 200-400 million damage, making weapons nearly useless.
Until weapons receive an update, save your money rather than investing in them.
Arise Crossover Mount Guide, How to Get!
Mounts spawn every 15 minutes, and only one player per server can claim each one.
- Spawn Locations: There are six possible locations, including side islands and areas behind the main islands.
- Types of Mounts: Ground Mounts – Spawn most frequently. Flying Mounts – Rare (10% spawn rate). Water Mounts – Can be purchased from the Boat Shop NPC.
Best Strategy to Get a Mount
- Watch for the server message announcing a mount spawn.
- Race through all six spawn locations as quickly as possible.
- Be prepared to fail—you may not always succeed in capturing a mount.
Mounts are not necessary for game progression, but they make traveling much easier, especially flying mounts.
Arise Crossover has more depth than it first appears, and progression is all about farming dungeons for stronger Shadows. Weapons are currently not worth investing in, but mounts can help with exploration. Whether you’re just starting or pushing toward endgame, understanding these mechanics will help you build a powerful team and advance efficiently.
