Dead Sails Class Tier List, Best One to Choose!

Picking the right class in Dead Sails can make a huge difference in how long you survive. Whether you’re playing solo or with a team, each class offers unique buffs and perks that can help you progress. This tier list ranks all the classes in Dead Sails from best to worst, based on their overall usefulness in combat, resource management, and survival.

How to Get Classes in Dead Sails

To acquire a class in Dead Sails, you need to roll for one at the Buy Classes section in the main lobby. You can use either Dabloons or Lucky Spins to get a random class.

Since Lucky Spins have better roll chances for higher-tier classes (Godly or Legendary), it’s recommended to use them over Dabloons if you’re aiming for the best classes in the game.

All Class Tier Rankings in Dead Sails

  • S-Tier: Necromancer, Trader
  • A-Tier: Pyromancer, Screwloose
  • B-Tier: Rich, Priest, Gunslinger, Medic
  • C-Tier: Miner
  • D-Tier: Pirate!

Below is a tier list ranking all available classes in Dead Sails, categorized by their effectiveness.

S-Tier (Best Classes)

These classes offer the highest survivability and utility, making them the best choices.

  • Necromancer – One of the strongest classes, the Necromancer can summon dead enemies as allies, making it highly effective in battles, especially against bosses like the Kraken.

  • Trader – While some might consider it A-Tier, the Trader class belongs in S-Tier because it allows you to sell items at higher prices, making it easier to earn money and stock up on supplies.

A-Tier (Strong but Not Overpowered)

These classes are very useful but require some strategy to maximize their potential.

  • Pyromancer – Converts all items, including dead teammates, into fuel. This ability is incredibly useful for long survival runs.

  • Screwloose – Grants extra movement speed while looting, making it great for fast-paced gameplay. When combined with explosives, it allows for quick enemy clear-outs.

B-Tier (Balanced Choices)

These classes provide decent perks but don’t have as much impact as S or A-Tier classes.

  • Rich – Starts with more money, allowing for easier early-game upgrades like weapons and healing items.

  • Priest – Spawns with a Crucifix, which can kill an NPC instantly—useful in tight combat situations.

  • Gunslinger – A great beginner class, starting with a random gun and ammo, giving players an advantage in early fights.

  • Medic – Another beginner-friendly class, spawns with healing items and randomly generates more over time. Useful for solo and team play.

C-Tier (Limited Utility)

These classes have some niche advantages but aren’t as effective overall.

  • Miner – Starts with 4 Dynamites, which are useful for clearing enemy-infested areas and fighting bosses, but not as useful in general survival.

D-Tier (Weakest Class)

These classes offer minimal benefits and are not recommended for serious survival runs.

  • Pirate – Increases the sailboat speed by 20 MPH, which is not very useful since you’ll be exploring and scavenging most of the time.
