Forsaken has just received its highly anticipated update, bringing a new survivor named Taph into the game. This update introduces new abilities, skins, and other content that players should know about. Whether you’re a survivor trying to master Taph’s skills or a killer looking to counter them, this guide will cover everything you need to know.
New Survivor: Taph
Taph is the latest addition to the survivor roster and specializes in using traps to hinder killers and assist teammates. Taph has two unique abilities:
1. Trip Wire
-
Allows Taph to set a tripwire between two points.
-
Has a 25-second cooldown.
-
When a killer steps on it, they receive Slowness 1 for 4 seconds and are revealed to survivors within a 100-stud radius for 8 seconds.
-
The wire gradually becomes less visible over 150 seconds before disappearing.
-
Can be destroyed by killers with 20 HP damage, including projectile attacks.
-
Up to three trip wires can be placed at once.
2. Subspace Trip Mine
-
Throws a proximity mine that becomes transparent after deployment.
-
Has a 40-second cooldown.
-
Detonates after 45 seconds or when a killer enters a 16-stud radius.
-
Inflicts Subspace 3 (camera movement disruption) for 5 seconds and Helpless 1 (prevents ability use) for 3 seconds.
-
If Taph is caught in the explosion, they suffer the same effects.
-
Mines can be preemptively destroyed by killer projectiles for reduced effects.
