Step 1: Fueling Up

Once the game starts, the Miner and Conductor need to immediately burn their coal. This will help keep the train running. After that, everyone should head over to the general store to buy more coal. It’s essential to buy coal to keep the train going, but remember—do not sell anything during this part of the challenge. Selling could mess with your progress. After purchasing the coal, store it on the train. Next, grab the three newspapers scattered around and place them at the back of the train.

Step 2: Fortifying the Cabin

Alamo’s job is next. Place three metal sheets on the train cabin. This will prevent enemies from entering the cabin. However, players will still be able to enter the cabin diagonally, so be cautious. After securing the metal sheets, Alamo should place three barbed wires around the cabin for extra protection. With this setup, you should be well-protected for the rest of the journey.

Step 3: Managing Coal and Resources

Now, you’re ready to head out! Be on the lookout for Coal Ore and the Doctor’s House, as they will be your two main stops. It’s important not to waste time by stopping anywhere else, especially the outposts, as they won’t contribute much to your progress.

• When you find Coal Ore, send the Miner to mine it. The ore can provide anywhere from one to three coal, and you’ll need a total of 17 coal to get the train to 80 km.
