However it might be advance for those that are new to the game, check out our Beginner Guide, & Seeds Guide in Grow a Garden!
If you’re looking to speed up growth, trigger rare mutations, or simply want to understand how weather works in the game, this guide will break it all down for you. Let’s take a closer look at all the current weather types in Grow a Garden, their effects, and why they matter when planning your garden.
All Weather Types in Grow a Garden
1. Sunny
Sunny weather is the most common in Grow a Garden. While it’s a great weather type for growing your plants, it does not affect growth time or introduce any special mutations. It’s a stable and neutral weather pattern that simply lets your plants grow at their usual pace without any bonuses or setbacks.
2. Rain
Rainy weather brings a slight challenge but also a potential benefit. When it rains, growth times are increased, making it take a little longer for your plants to grow. However, there’s a 50% chance that the fruit will be affected by a “Wet Mutation,” which doubles the fruit’s growth speed. Even if the fruit just entered the rain, this mutation can still occur. Keep an eye out for this weather if you want to speed up the growth of certain plants!
3. Thunderstorm
Thunderstorms are a more intense weather pattern and come with additional risks and rewards. Just like rain, thunderstorms increase growth time by 50%. They also have a 50% chance of causing a “Wet Mutation,” doubling the growth time speed.
But what really sets thunderstorms apart is the lightning: if your fruit gets hit by lightning, it will be shocked and experience a significant growth boost—50 times its normal growth speed! Be cautious, though, as thunderstorms tend to have a lightning strike every 7 seconds, making it a bit of a gamble.
While there are currently only three weather types in Grow a Garden, they each bring unique benefits and challenges to your gardening experience. Sunny weather provides a consistent growing pace, rain can give you a helpful boost through wet mutations, and thunderstorms offer a risk-reward scenario with lightning and shock mutations.
Understanding how these weather types work and when they occur will help you plan your garden and grow your plants more effectively. Keep an eye out for future updates, as more weather types could be added to the game, expanding the possibilities for your gardening endeavors!
