Satcom Spawn Locations
The Satcom, which is a 2×2 item resembling a small radar dish on a tripod, is crucial for upgrading your CSD in the Black Site. It grants significant buffs to stamina, stamina recovery, and crawling speed when downed. Here are the four primary spawn locations for the Satcom:
1. Dormitory Area (Northwest)
The Satcom can spawn inside any of the three buildings marked 1, 2, or 3. Common spawn spots within these buildings include:
- On counters near the door
- On shelves beside the stairs
- Inside the keycard room
Be thorough in checking all three buildings to ensure you don’t miss it.
2. Buoyancy Lab (Core Area)
Located in the top-left (northwest) part of the map, the Satcom may spawn in one of two raised rooms within the lab. Look for it on:
- The desk in the raised room beneath the stairs leading to the CEO office.
- The opposite raised room near the infirmary keycard room.
Other areas in Buoyancy may hold the Satcom, but these are the main confirmed locations.
3. Centrifuge (Core Area)
The Centrifuge, located at the southwest of Space City, is another common place to find the Satcom. It can be located along the raised gantry overlooking the centrifuge. Focus on these specific spots:
- Near the lever used for extraction, alongside a desk.
- On the floor, near the stepped area looking down into the centrifuge.
- On desks scattered along the gantry.
4. Horizontal Test Workshop
Located near the Bagless Extract, this small building contains computer desks where the Satcom may spawn. Check the desks and the chairs in the room for the item.
Rocket Fuel Spawn Locations
Rocket Fuel is a 3×4 item, making it significantly larger than the Satcom. Because of its size, Rocket Fuel won’t fit in any safe box or chest rig, meaning it must be carried in a backpack. Finding it will allow you to unlock tier 8 upgrades for your stash, expanding both your space and your slot count. Here are the confirmed spawn locations:
1. Central Command Building (Northernmost Area)
The Rocket Fuel is often found just inside the back door of the central command building, specifically near the northwest corner. If you spawn near this location, you’re in luck, as this is one of the easiest places to access it early.
2. Printing Room
In the center of the Printing Room, look for a raised area with a desk and a large tube. The Rocket Fuel is often located on top of the desk. Be sure to check around the tube just in case it spawns there too.
3. Assembly Room
In the Assembly Room, the Rocket Fuel may appear by a keycard door on the upper level, surrounded by boxes. Keep an eye out for it around these areas:
- Near the raised corridor leading to the Printing Room.
- Inside a raised area with large tubes.
It’s worth checking both upstairs and downstairs in the room, as it may spawn in multiple spots.
4. Black Chamber
The Black Chamber holds a few confirmed spawn points for the Rocket Fuel:
- Just inside the door, near a flight case.
- On the computer desks near the pile of junk and shelves.
- Some players have reported it spawning on a raised area with the premium storage crate, though this has not been widely confirmed.
Tips for Extraction
Once you’ve managed to find either the Satcom or Rocket Fuel, it’s time to extract. Since these items cannot be stored in safe boxes or small rigs, you’ll need to use a larger backpack or the Bagless Extract.
- Rocket Fuel: Can be extracted using either the Helicopter Extract from the Test Range (by pulling two levers) or the Launch Extract located by the suspension bridge.
- Satcom: As it’s smaller, you can opt for the Bagless Extract, which is the safest and most straightforward method.
