Grow A Garden Update Guide Rainbow Sacks, Venus Fly Traps, Codes & More!
The latest Grow A Garden update has just dropped, bringing in a bunch of new content, gear, and special features to the game. If you’re curious about what’s new, how it all works, and how to make the most of this update, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know.
All Things New in Grow a Garde 27/4 April Update:
1. New Gears: Throwel and Lightning Rod

Two new gears have been added to the game, and both can make a big difference to your garden:
- Throwel: This tool lets you move your plants around. If you ever planted something in the wrong spot or want to reorganize your garden, Throwel makes it easy. Each Throwel has five uses, and you can’t move fully grown plants, so plan your moves carefully.
- Lightning Rod: This item redirects lightning strikes during storms. Any plants in its radius will receive a lightning mutation, giving them special boosts. You get three redirections per Lightning Rod.
Both tools are available in the gear shop, and they add a lot of strategy to how you manage your crops. Here’s How to Get both Throwel and Lightning Rod in Grow a Garden!
2. New Crops: Eggplant and Mushroom
The update also brings in a couple of new crops:
- Eggplant: While it’s not the most valuable crop in terms of selling price, it adds more variety to your garden.
- Mushroom: Another fun addition that fits into the new event mechanics and weather updates.
Neither is game-breaking, but they help keep your farm feeling fresh.
3. Angry Plant System – Free Seed Packs and Rewards

One of the biggest changes in this update is the introduction of the Angry Plant.
- How It Works: The Angry Plant will ask you for a specific mutated fruit, like a “wet carrot,” with a certain weight.
- Rewards: If you feed it the correct fruit, you get a free seed pack.
- Premium Seed Pack: Feed the plant 50 times and you’ll earn a premium seed pack that can contain rare items like the Venus Fly Trap or the Rainbow Sack.
Venus Fly Trap looks cool but doesn’t offer major boosts, while the Rainbow Sack is very valuable because it gives any fruit a permanent rainbow mutation. Here’s how to do the Angry Plant Quest Guide!
4. New Events: Thunder and Snowy Weather
Weather events now have a bigger impact:
- Thunder Events: Great chance to use the Lightning Rod for mutations.
- Snowy Events: These allow you to collect frozen fruits, adding even more variety and challenges to farming.
These events make the gameplay more dynamic and give you more reasons to log in daily.
Grow a Garden Codes – Are There Any?
While players were expecting new codes with this update, unfortunately, none were available. The developers had previously mentioned adding codes, but they are delayed. If any codes do get released, they’ll usually be posted by the community or in the official game announcements.
Currently the update is only available in the Test Server, but The latest Grow A Garden update really changes up the gameplay, offering more customization, special rewards, and new farming strategies is coming soon at 27 April 2025
. Whether you’re moving your plants around with the Throwel, feeding the Angry Plant for premium seeds, or catching special mutations during weather events, there’s a lot to do. Keep farming smart, take advantage of every event, and you’ll grow a garden that’s better than ever. Stay tuned for codes if they drop, and happy gardening!
