1. Wait for a Thunderstorm Weather Event
First, you need the weather in your garden to change to Thunderstorm. It is one of the weather event in Grow a Garden, and while during a thunderstorm, two things happen:
- Your crops grow faster.
- There is a 50% chance that your fruit becomes wet.
More importantly, thunderstorms give a chance for lightning to strike crops. If a lightning bolt hits your fruit during this weather, it has a chance to mutate into a Shocked version.
2. Use a Lightning Rod
While thunderstorms can strike any fruit randomly, using a Lightning Rod makes getting the Shocked Mutation much easier. The Lightning Rod works by:
- Redirecting lightning toward crops within its range.
- Increasing the chances that your fruits get struck by lightning.
- This tool redirects lightning three times before it breaks, so it gives you multiple opportunities to shock your crops.
