A Wuthering Waves player recently caught attention after spending 1.8 million yen just to upgrade all of his characters to S6, the highest resonance level in the game. What makes this story interesting isn’t just the huge amount of money, but the reason behind it.

This player ‘@Re_myplay” isn’t a rich businessman or someone with an endless supply of cash. In fact, he describes himself as just an uncle  with an unusual job. He genuinely loves the game and wants to support the developers behind Wuthering Waves. For him, it’s not about showing off — it’s about enjoying the game to the fullest and showing appreciation for the work put into it.

According to his story, the 1.8 million yen was spent only on the characters. He didn’t even include the cost of upgrading weapons, which shows how focused he is on building every unit in his roster. He also plans to max out Zani and Ciaconna once they’re added to the game and is excited to buy new skins, especially because he’s a big fan of Changli.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time he’s gone all in. He reportedly did the same in Honkai: Star Rail, upgrading every character there to E6 as well. It’s clear he follows the same mindset across the games he plays.
