VTuber Matara Opens Up About Her Departure from VShojo!

Matara has finally spoken out about her exit from VShojo, sharing her thoughts and feelings in a recent stream. While the news may have come as a surprise to many, Matara took the time to explain her side and offer some clarity.
She started by thanking her viewers for their support, even though she admitted she hasn’t been very active lately. Legal matters and personal reasons kept her away, but she wanted fans to know that she’s okay and this isn’t meant to be a pity story.
In her own words, Matara confirmed that she and VShojo have officially parted ways. She stressed that the messaging shared by both parties was carefully agreed upon and that she’s comfortable with how things were worded. Matara said she doesn’t feel ashamed or believe she did anything wrong. For her, it was just a matter of business and sometimes, changes like this happen.
VShojo released an official statement thanking her for her contributions and wishing her the best. Matara also responded with her own statement, saying she appreciated the time spent with the group and that she will continue to stream as Matara, now independently. She still owns her IP and will keep working on all her creative projects just like before.
Importantly, Matara made it clear that while her professional ties to VShojo have ended, her relationships with the other members remain the same. She will still collaborate with them when possible, but may also focus more on solo content.
She ended the talk by reminding fans not to push other talents for details, as contracts and NDAs limit what can be said. As for the future, Matara remains hopeful and grateful, ready to continue as herself, no matter the tag attached to her name.
This shift marks a new chapter for Matara, one where she has full control of her path. Her supporters, the Momos, can look forward to seeing more of her unique personality, just without the VShojo brand.
