Being the top VTuber in the world might seem like a dream job, but for Gawr Gura, it came with pressure and fear. In a recent conversation with Kiara on her stream, Gura opened up about what it was really like to rise to the top and how hard it was to handle everything that came with it. Which might be the cause of Gawr Gura Graduation!

From the very start of her career, Gura said she felt overwhelmed. Even during her early streams, she admitted to going on long walks just to calm herself down. She said that while people walked past her with no idea who she was or what she was about to do, she was preparing to perform live in front of tens of thousands of people. That fear never really left her. She struggled to sleep, to eat, and was constantly running on adrenaline.

The experience wasn’t just overwhelming because of the attention. Gura also talked about how hard it was to learn everything at once — reading chat, speaking, and streaming all at the same time. She had to figure it all out as she went. It was chaotic, stressful, and lonely at times.

Gura also reflected on how Myth members didn’t get to bond much in the beginning. Unlike VTubers in Japan who could meet before debuting, Myth members had to rely on online calls. But despite the slow start, she believes their shared struggles made the experience special and unique.

Even though Gura sometimes wonders how different things would’ve been if she hadn’t been pushed into the spotlight so fast, she’s also thankful for the opportunities. She admitted that it wasn’t easy — but she’s proud of how far she came, and proud that she chose to step away when the time was right for her own well-being. She ended by saying she’ll always support her fellow Myth members, no matter where they go.
