Hololive EN Kiara and Calli Address the Merch Situation!

In a recent stream, Hololive EN talents Kiara and Calli took a moment to speak openly about the current merch situation that’s been frustrating many fans after the recent graduation stream of Gawr Gura. Due to new import tariff taxes, the price of official Hololive merchandise has shot up—sometimes even doubling or tripling—especially for overseas buyers.
Calli brought it up while casually mentioning that her new sweater is available. However, she was quick to add that fans shouldn’t feel pressured to buy it, acknowledging that “things are crazy right now.” She confirmed that the steep prices aren’t something the talents have control over. Instead, it’s a larger issue caused by rising import fees and changes in international shipping policies.
Both Calli and Kiara stressed that they, along with the rest of the members, have been talking to management about the issue. They know fans are upset, and they’re pushing for a fix or at least a temporary pause on affected items. They made it clear that everyone involved is aware of the problem, and they’re hoping for a solution soon—but nothing is promised yet.
While waiting for changes, Calli suggested fans support them through other means like channel memberships, which offer consistent support without the extra cost of shipping and taxes. She also mentioned that she prefers memberships over super chats, as it’s easier to manage without having to respond to hundreds of messages at once.
Although the conversation was mixed with jokes and banter, the concern was real. They want fans to know they’re not being ignored, and they’re doing their best to push for fairer pricing or better options in the future. Until then, they encouraged fans to only support in ways that are comfortable, without any pressure to buy overpriced merch.
