Anime Last Stand has just dropped one of its biggest updates yet with the release of Update 53, introducing a lineup of Godly and Fate units that are powerful, unique, and game-changing. In this guide, we’ll break down each of the new featured characters—Astalfa, Mako, Venus (Love Goddess), King Pendragon, Medusa, and the showstopper, Heavenly King Gilgamesh. Whether you’re deciding which to summon or just want to know their abilities, here’s a full breakdown to help you dominate your next run. Check out How well Each Unit in Anime Last Stand using our Tier List!

1. Astalfa – The Phantom Horse Rider

Astalfa brings flashy mechanics and decent crowd control. Here’s what makes her special:

  • Mystical Enchant (Glitched Triple S)
  • Trap of Argali: 20% chance to stun enemies for 7 seconds, with a cooldown per enemy.
  • Otherworldly Phantom Horse: Every 15 attacks, Astalfa gains 100% critical chance and damage for the next 3 hits.
  • Max Stats: Around 489 million damage as an air unit—solid performance with utility built in.

Astalfa’s stun and critical-based mechanics make her a strong pick for handling flying mobs while dishing out bursts of damage.

2. Mako – The Bleed-Based Reaper

Straight from Soul Eater, Mako specializes in bleed effects and debuffs. Her unique traits are:

  • Soul Harvest: When 10+ enemies are bleeding in her AoE, she gains Militate for 15 seconds.
  • Lustful Scythe: If an enemy isn’t bleeding, it applies Blood Lust. When bleeding begins, bleed damage is amplified by 1.5x.
  • Hemorrhage: Triggered after bleed ends, inflicting lingering damage.

With a heavy focus on stacking bleed and increasing its damage over time, Mako is great in synergy with other bleed units or as a support-DPS hybrid.

3. Venus – The Love Goddess of Gems

Venus is a high-scaling unit with impressive DPS and buff mechanics based on gem collection:

  • Gem Collector: Every 5 minutes, collects 1–3 gems (caps at 50). Every 20 seconds, loses 5 gems.
  • For every gem, gain 0.25% more range and damage.
  • Venus Judgement: Unlocks at 25 gems. Adds massive burst damage.
  • Love Goddess: Gains 5% dodge chance per nearby magic unit (max 25%).
  • Max Damage Potential: Can reach 1.25–1.5 billion damage.

Venus is best used in long rounds where her gems can scale her up into a true powerhouse.

4. King Pendragon – Bell Buff Strategist

Pendragon introduces a support-focused playstyle with randomized buffs via magic bells:

  • Bell System: Casts buffs on allies in range every few units summoned.
  • Bell examples include: +15% Damage, +10% Range, –5% SPA, +10% Crit Chance
  • Flower Territory: Buffs all magic and subtype units by 10%, and gives +25% damage against their special enemy types.
  • Max Damage: Around 576 million, with Glitched Mystic Triple S Enchant.

Pendragon’s bell mechanics offer flexibility and strong party-wide buffs, perfect for mixed teams or boss content.

5. Medusa – The Petrification Queen

Medusa combines crowd control and deadly burst effects through petrify mechanics:

  • Mystic Gaze: Enemies marked with Petrify take 10% of Medusa’s damage per second.
  • More petrified enemies = higher tick damage (up to +30%).
  • Bellaphone Ability: Petrifies all enemies in range for 30 seconds. Takes 5 hits to break. Breaking early = 6x damage burst.
  • Spectate Animation: Gorgeous and deadly, she’s also visually stunning.

Medusa is a strong control-DPS hybrid and perfect for slowing down and nuking large groups.

6. Heavenly King Gilgamesh – Ultimate Godly Unit

Gilgamesh is the star of the show, combining elemental effects, damage scaling, and game-breaking ultimates:

Heavenly Treasures: Every 5 attacks summons a random elemental sword:

  • Water: Blizzard
  • Fire: Sunburn & Scorched
  • Light: Bolt & Plasma
  • Dark: Black Flames & Pressure
  • Nature: Windshard & Accelerate

Rupture Sword (every 5 pulls): Deals 5x damage + inflicts multiple debuffs.

King of Heroes Passive:

  • Deals 140% more damage to advantaged elements.
  • Buff scaling per wave, up to +75.5% damage and –10% SPA.

Noble Special: Charges each attack.

  • Base Damage: 5 billion, scaling to 7–8 billion with max charge.
  • Adds weaken, hemorrhage, and massive buffs.

Combine Noble Special (Anomalous):

  • Deals 10,000x current damage.
  • Instantly kills enemies below 35% HP.
  • Stops time for 30 seconds, then slows and applies despair.

Gilgamesh is beyond busted—he’s built to carry entire matches solo once maxed out.

Update 53 in Anime Last Stand brings some of the most creative and broken units yet. Whether you want burst damage, AoE control, or support buffs, this batch of Fate and Godly characters has it all. Gilgamesh clearly stands at the top, but each unit brings something valuable to the field.

If you’re saving up gems or rerolling, make sure to aim for at least Venus, Medusa, or Gilgamesh—they’ll give you a huge advantage in both early and late-game content. Want a guide on which unit to evolve or focus on first?
