Three New Units Added Anime Vanguards Update 5.5
Update 5.5 introduces three brand-new units. These units can be obtained through different modes in the game, including:
- Deruta and Deruta (Hunt)
- Delusional Boy, Smith John, and Lord of Shadows
- Clatakiri and Clatakiri (Mochi)
Each unit is tied to a specific challenge or banner, giving players multiple ways to unlock them. Some are linked to raids, others to floor progress or banners.
New Raid: Ruined City
The Ruined City is the latest raid content, with the Lord of Shadows waiting at the center of the battlefield. You can challenge this raid in either Normal or Nightmare mode with up to three friends. It requires solid coordination and team synergy to complete. Ruined City Raid Rewards:
- Delusional Boy Unit
- Raid Currency
- Birb Familiar
This currency is used in the new raid-exclusive shop.
Ruined City Raid Shop
Defeating the Lord of Shadows gives you access to the Ruined City Shop, where you can exchange raid currency for rare items such as:
- 2 Evolution Items
- Dog Bone
- Atomic Essence
- Black Spirit Familiar
- Fortune Catalyst
- Phoenix Shards
- Elemental Shards
Odyssey Mode Rework
Odyssey has been overhauled with major changes to gameplay flow and rewards. Here’s a breakdown:
1. Team Changes You now start with your full team and can change units between stages. However, used units take a break on the next floor. Farming units are unaffected.
2. Modifier Changes Modifiers are now bought from the Odyssey Shop, which refreshes every other floor. Old items like the Prodigy card have been removed.
3. Floor Format Each floor has only one stage. After completing it, you can adjust the difficulty up or down.
4. Reward System Rewards are now given per floor and at the end of each run. The harder and longer your run, the better the rewards.
5. Boss and Vault Rooms Every 5th floor contains a Boss Room. Clearing it gives you the option to end your run or continue to a Vault Room filled with modifier chests.
6. New Familiar Reroll Items You can now reroll the main stat and element of your familiars using new items obtained through Odyssey.
7. Limitless Mode The classic version of Odyssey is now a separate mode named Limitless, available in the Odyssey UI.
Tournament Mode Rework
Tournaments have also received a full overhaul to increase variety and strategy. Key changes include:
1. Map Pool Only story maps are used, with no repeats two weeks in a row.
2. Mutator and Modifier System Each map includes two random enemy mutators and three modifiers.
3. Elemental Buffs Each week features one debuffed and one buffed element, with effects ranging from 50% to 200%.
4. Rotating Units Top-used units are excluded in the following week’s tournament. One rarely-used Mythic+ unit gets a 500% damage boost each week.
