Basketball Zero The Ranked Update Guide, New Codes & More!

Basketball Zero just dropped one of its most anticipated updates yet, and it’s a big one—especially for competitive players. With the arrival of the Ranked Update, players can now prove their skills in a whole new way through structured 2v2 and 3v3 modes, complete with matchmaking and an upcoming rewards system. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to get serious about your gameplay, this update brings just that. Here’s everything you need to know about the Ranked Update, new codes, gameplay changes, and quality-of-life improvements.
The Ranked System is Here!
Welcome to Season 1 of Ranked in Basketball Zero. The old 3v3 area in the lobby has been reworked into a competitive space where you can queue up for Ranked 3v3 and the all-new 2v2 game mode. Whether you’re playing solo or teaming up, you’ll now be climbing a ranked ladder that tracks your performance and places you accordingly.
How 2v2 Works
The addition of 2v2 Ranked mode brings a different kind of challenge. Played on a half-court using make-it-take-it rules, it requires tighter coordination and strategy. That means if you score, you keep possession—making every point crucial. Because of this rule set, it’s highly recommended to play with someone you can communicate with directly. Random queue is available, but competitive players will benefit most by queuing with a reliable partner.
Fixes and Balance Updates
This patch also brings a wave of important fixes and gameplay adjustments that improve overall balance:
- Perfect Dribble has been fixed so it can’t be exploited after a pump fake.
- Copycat’s 100% Copy now only works once per ability and doesn’t persist indefinitely.
- Giant’s Post Form is finally functioning as intended.
- Numerous keybind and camera issues have been patched to reduce bugs during matches.
- Other miscellaneous bugs were also addressed—too many to count, according to the devs!
Quality of Life Improvements
Alongside gameplay changes, the devs have made a few UI and settings improvements to help streamline your experience:
- The settings menu now features organized categories, making navigation easier.
- Players can now disable the TV camera and the controls manual from the settings.
- Cooldown timers now display exact time remaining, giving you a better sense of when to use abilities again.
