All New Unit ALS Update 54 Guide
1. Shusu – Abyssal Trial Exclusive

Shusu is obtainable through the Abyssal Trial and introduces a unique mechanic centered around the concept of “envy.” His passive, Envy’s Curse, marks the highest-damage unit within his range. Whenever this marked unit attacks, Shusu has a 25% chance to perform a follow-up attack, dealing 75% of that unit’s damage. Though the attack doesn’t apply any status effects, the true potential lies in the Growing Envy mechanic — every failed trigger increases the chance of success by 2.5%, up to a cap of 25%. Once Shusu performs 10 successful follow-up attacks, he gains a permanent 25% damage and range increase, making his long-term presence in matches extremely valuable.
Shusu’s ultimate abilities include Kamusukami Reverse and Koto Matsukami Halt. Reverse rewinds all enemies for 25 seconds and buffs Shusu’s damage by 50% during this time if the enemy is afflicted by blaze. However, after the effect ends, Shusu suffers a severe debuff — his damage is halved and attacks may miss for 60 seconds. Meanwhile, Halt freezes all enemies for 75 seconds and gives a critical damage bonus against blaze-afflicted foes, but the same post-effect penalty applies, making Shusu a high-risk, high-reward tactical choice.
2. Kale and Caulifla (Super Sisters) – Merchant Shop Portal 2

This duo unit starts off strong as a hybrid mystical and physical attacker. Their passive debuff reduces enemy movement speed by 20% and increases the damage they take by 15%, which immediately adds team utility. Their base form deals approximately 3 million damage, and upon activation of their Sister Fusion, they transform into Kefla, dramatically boosting their stats and offensive output.
The transformation continues further with Sister Super Transformation, turning them into Super Clea. This stage unlocks powerful mechanics like guaranteed critical hits and multiple-tiered bonus effects. Every third attack deals double damage, and every fifth deals 5x damage — but at a cost of self-stunning for 5 seconds. Interestingly, this self-stun triggers the Counter passive, making the next attack a 100% critical hit with an extra 150% damage.
Their final ability, Fusion Overdrive Super Transformation, is a massive AoE attack dealing 25x damage and applying a detonation effect. It stuns the unit for 30 seconds, but once that period ends, the unit gains various buffs, including a massive critical bonus. When used smartly, this unit can shred through waves with incredible burst damage.
3. Bulmy – Banner 3 Shop (Support Unit)

Bulmy is one of the most interesting additions in this patch, offering a money-generation mechanic that may redefine the farming meta. Her unique passive has her collect one Dragon Ball per wave. Upon gathering all seven, players can summon the Wish Dragon, who offers three powerful wish options:
- Wealth: Instantly grants 400,000 yen and boosts farm production by 20%.
- Power: Gives all units a permanent 20% damage increase.
- Time: Reduces all unit ability cooldowns by 25%.
This mechanic offers a lot of flexibility depending on your strategy — whether you want to scale your economy early or power up your team during a boss wave. Bulmy’s potential to support both offensive and economic strategies gives her a high utility value.
4. Tengen

Tengen stands out with his sleek AoE design and ability Pulse Step, which transforms him into a full AoE unit. His passive, Resounding Slashes, adds bleed effects with a 25% chance on each strike, stacking effectively with his already solid base damage (over 300 million at max level). When the enemy is weakened, his damage output scales even further. Although not the most overpowered unit this update, Tengen offers strong consistency and is useful in high-wave survivability builds.
5. Feytan – Infinity Castle Room 100

Feytan is arguably the most hyped unit from this update. As a mystical and physical type unit with fire elemental properties, he starts with a base damage of around 4 million and a sunburn effect. This effect is a fire-based damage-over-time status that also inflicts bleed if the target is already afflicted by a fire DoT. This dual-DoT synergy rapidly ramps up damage over time.
His special skill, Infernal Vaal, takes things even further. It deals 10x the unit’s damage and applies permanent sunburn, causing affected enemies to take 25% of his damage every 5 seconds permanently and move 20% slower. At max upgrades, Feytan easily hits 1 billion+ total damage thanks to overlapping DoT effects. His utility in boss and tank-kill setups is exceptional.
6. Ichiko (Ichigo) – Godly Rework

Ichigo receives a complete overhaul in Update 54, evolving into a godly unit with a progressive transformation mechanic tied to his Swordsman Mastery. Each attack increases mastery by 2%, unlocking new forms at certain thresholds:
- 25%: Unlocks Shinigami, granting +15% crit chance.
- 50%: Unlocks Hollow, increasing range by 10%.
- 100%: Unlocks Quincy, boosting total damage by 10%.
His ultimate ability, Kai Release, adds another layer by increasing damage based on mastery count and reducing SPA (attack interval). As mastery increases, Ichigo gains access to different forms with unique buffs, encouraging longer matches to reach his full potential. This makes him a versatile, scaling DPS option for Infinity Castle or lengthy story runs.
Update 54 in Anime Last Stand brings a deep variety of units, from fusion-based powerhouses to strategic money generators and damage-over-time specialists. Whether you’re pushing through Infinity Castle or looking for new combo potential in trials, each of these units adds something new to the game. Among them, Kale & Caulifla, Shusu, and Bulmy stand out for their versatility and game-changing mechanics. Don’t sleep on this update — build smart, and start grinding!
