Stellar Blade was supposed to be great news for PC gamers who have been waiting to experience Eve’s action-packed adventure. The game is officially scheduled to release on June 11, 2025, for PC. However, the excitement has been overshadowed by a controversial region lock policy from Sony.

More than 130 countries are unable to access the game on Steam. Countries like Morocco, Cambodia, Uzbekistan, and Yemen are confirmed to be blocked from purchasing or playing Stellar Blade’s PC version through official channels.

Discussions on Reddit revealed that the region lock includes not just specific countries, but also regions marked by unique codes such as AN, FX, and XG. These codes are believed to refer to the Dutch Antilles (AN), Metropolitan France (FX), and regions like Dubai (XG).

In response to player complaints, the developer Shift Up stated that they are currently in talks with PlayStation about the region lock issue. While nothing is confirmed yet, this gives some hope that the blocked list could be revised or even removed before or after launch.

According to Shift Up, it will feature 25 new outfits for Eve and introduce several new bosses. So while some regions may be left out for now, Stellar Blade still remains one of the most anticipated PC action games of 2025.
