Stud Tower Defense Tier List
S Tier – Top Picks (Best of the Best)
These units are considered essential in almost every strategy. Whether due to high damage, utility, or synergy, they are the core of a powerful defense setup.
- Magmamancer (Epic)
- Grappler (Common)
- Shopkeeper (Epic)
- Zeus (Legendary)
- Gunner (Common)
- Echo (Celestial)
These units offer a mix of reliable crowd control, DPS, and utility, making them extremely effective across all game modes.
A Tier – Strong and Reliable
Great choices for most stages. While not as dominant as S-Tier units, these towers still deliver excellent results when used well.
- Archer (Common)
- Viper (Celestial)
- Knife Dealer (Epic)
These units can form the backbone of a solid defense, especially when you lack access to S-tier picks.
B Tier – Situational Picks
Good in specific setups or early game stages, but generally less efficient than higher tiers in tougher scenarios.
- Rain Dancer (Rare)
- Boxer (Rare)
- Greatsword (Rare)
B-tier towers can still shine when placed strategically but often need support from stronger units.
C Tier – Mediocre Performance
These units have limited value. They might work in early-game or themed challenges, but they’re typically outclassed by higher-tier options.
- Pyromancer (Uncommon)
- Cowboy (Epic)
- Golden Monkey (Celestial)
- A Bad Dream (Legendary)
- Ballista (Uncommon)
While some of these may look promising due to their rarity, their actual impact in-game falls short.
D Tier – Weak Choices
Mostly underwhelming units that don’t offer much value in combat. Avoid using them unless you’re experimenting or have no other options.
- Necromancer (Epic)
- Grenadier (Rare)
- Grug (Rare)
- Butcher (Rare)
These towers either lack damage, range, or utility, making them hard to justify in most team comps.
F Tier – Not Recommended
These are the weakest towers in the current meta. They bring little to no value in actual gameplay.
- Trapper (Uncommon)
Unless you’re testing for fun or completing a challenge, it’s best to avoid deploying F-tier units.
The meta in Stud Tower Defense is always evolving as updates and balancing tweaks roll in. While this tier list offers a solid overview of the current top performers, your choice of units should also depend on your playstyle, map, and team composition. That said, investing in S and A tier units will give you the best chance of success in most situations. Keep an eye out for new unit releases and balance patches, and check back here for future tier list updates.
