Pokémon Unite just introduced a sweet new Supporter to the Public Test Server—Alcremie. If you’ve been wondering whether this charming dessert Pokémon can compete with the likes of Blissey or Eldegoss, this guide breaks down its kit, gameplay mechanics, and early impressions based on Jake’s recent YouTube gameplay.

Who is Alcremie in Pokémon Unite?

Alcremie is a ranged special attack Supporter, starting out as Milcery and evolving at level 4, similar to Eldegoss. It brings a fresh support style built around shielding, healing, and a unique mechanic called the Sweet Gauge. You get your first moves at levels 1 and 3, with additional choices at levels 6, 8 (Unite move), 10, and 12. It has early power spikes and some potentially game-changing utility.

Alcremie Move Overview

Starting Moves:

  • Helping Hand: Grants a shield to an ally and boosts their attack and special attack. Good for early skirmishes or staying in lane longer.
  • Charm: Sends out a slowing wave that also decreases enemy attack stats and builds your Sweet Gauge.

Level 6 Moves:

You can choose between:

  • Decorate: Grants a shield to an ally. When the shielded ally attacks, they deal bonus damage. Once your Sweet Gauge is full, this bonus gets stronger. At level 10+, this move gets even better by improving the shield.
  • Recover: Places a dollop of whipped cream on the ground. Allies can pick it up to heal and gain movement speed. A full Sweet Gauge enhances the dollop’s effects. At level 10, you can store up to three dollops.

Alternate Level 6 Moves:

  • Dazzling Gleam: Deals damage in a line and briefly disables enemies. Boosts your Sweet Gauge. Combos well with Decorate for some serious utility.
  • Sweet Scent: Leaves an area that damages and slows enemies, and increases your Sweet Gauge when walked through or exited.

Unite Move – Fluffy Cream Supreme (Level 8):

Alcremie stands on a giant cake, shielding itself and sending whipped cream to nearby allies. This heals allies and temporarily boosts their max HP, making it a powerful move for initiating or sustaining team fights. However, it doesn’t heal Alcremie, and the move ends when its shield breaks or the timer runs out.

Passive Ability – Aroma Veil:

Whenever Alcremie buffs an ally or gives them a shield, all hindrances (like slows or stuns) are removed. This ability goes on cooldown after use but can be a clutch save during intense fights.

The Sweet Gauge Mechanic

Nearly everything in Alcremie’s kit interacts with the Sweet Gauge:

  • Charm, Sweet Scent, Dazzling Gleam, and Dollops all build it up.
  • When full, it empowers your Decorate and Dollop heals, giving stronger shields and bigger heals.
  • Smart players will time empowered dollops and shields during team fights for maximum value.

Should You Try Alcremie?

If you enjoy support roles and want a versatile Pokémon with shielding, healing, and crowd control, Alcremie could be your next main. It’s currently being tested, so tweaks may happen before its full release, but early impressions show promise. Players who liked Blissey’s Helping Hand or Hoopa’s utility will likely find Alcremie to be an enjoyable and powerful addition to the roster.

Alcremie is shaping up to be a top-tier Supporter in Pokémon Unite. Its blend of shielding, healing, and utility—especially through the Sweet Gauge—makes it more than just a gimmick pick. Whether it will rival Blissey or Eldegoss in the long run remains to be seen, but its current kit offers a refreshing take on the support role that encourages active participation and synergy.

If you’re testing it now, experiment with both Decorate/Dazzling Gleam and Recover/Sweet Scent combos to see which fits your playstyle best. And don’t forget—grab those dollops!
